SOP — Ingest client content
Who: Creative Strategist · When: onboarding a client, or any time new content exists Time: ~2 minutes per source, plus review
What this is for
Turning a client's existing content into verifiable facts the whole agency can rely on. The point is that a salesperson, a scriptwriter and a media buyer all quote the same number, and that the number is one somebody checked.
What counts as content
Anything where the client states facts about themselves: video scripts, transcripts, sales call recordings, landing pages, About pages, press coverage, pitch decks.
Founder-voice content is the most valuable. It contains claims nobody wrote down anywhere else.
Steps
- Brand Intelligence → Ingest content.
- Title it so you'd recognise it in a list. "Founder Story — Russell" beats "Script 3".
- Paste the content. Raw transcripts are fine — messy speech is expected and handled.
- Ingest. Extraction and reconciliation run together, roughly 30–60 seconds.
- Read the result. - *Auto-merged* — already known, or a more precise version. Nothing to do. - *Escalated* — go to the deconflict queue.
- Read the coverage note. It says what this source did *not* establish. That's your shopping list for what to ask the client for next.
Judgment calls that stay yours
Promoting draft to approved. Everything lands as draft. Nothing reaches an ad until you promote it. Before you do, ask: *would I be comfortable if a client's competitor challenged this claim?*
Grading proof honestly. The system grades a claim asserted when it's the brand's opinion of itself. Resist upgrading that because it sounds confident. "Quality is our mission" is not proof and never becomes proof by repetition.
Scope. If a feature reads slightly broader than the citation supports, narrow it. That is the single most common way a false claim enters a knowledge base — not a lie, a widening.
What good looks like
After two or three founder sources you should have 15–25 features, several with external verification, and a coverage note that's getting shorter. If it isn't shrinking, you're ingesting the same message repeatedly and need different source *types* — a project manager interview, not another founder video.
