Design system
Two materials, one hue, and charts that are required to say something. This page reads no data, so it is the one place the look can be checked without a database.
Charts
The sentence under each line is computed from the series, not written by hand — so it cannot drift from what is drawn, and it refuses to read a series that is too short.
Up 49% across the window, 12.4k → 18.4k.
5 of 6 moves went the same way, so the direction is the series and not one period.
Same months last year
Up 90% across the window, 41 → 78.
One move on Aug is 78% of it — without that step the line is close to flat.
Only 2 of 3 periods have data — too short to read a direction.
Up 11% across the window, 28 → 31.
4 of 6 moves went the same way, so the direction is the series and not one period.
Materials
Glass
Carries content. Translucent and blurred, so the mesh behind it shows through.
Soft
Carries anything pressable. Extruded with a light, a shade and an ambient shadow.
Sunk
Tracks and grooves — the same shadows, inverted. Used behind bars and meters.

Headings carry weight, not just size
Label · 700
Body sits at 450 with a little negative tracking. The jump from 450 to 800 is what makes hierarchy readable at a glance; size alone was doing all the work before, and everything read as one weight.
Controls
All figures on this page are illustrative. Use the theme control in the nav to check every surface against a different base hue — the ground, the neutrals, the borders and the mesh all derive from it, so a theme that only looks right in one hue is a bug.
